MP REID TO LAUNCH BUY CANADIAN BEEF SIGN CAMPAIGN

Scott Reid, MP for Lanark-Carleton will unveil a large sign, beside Highway 7, to kick-off his Buy Canadian Beef Sign Campaign.

The purpose of the sign campaign is to make Canadians aware that some of the most popular summer time cuts of beef come from imported beef.

At this press conference, Reid along with constituent and local farmer Pat O'Rourke, the originator of the sign campaign idea, will be unveiling a large sign asking Canadians to insist on being served Canadian beef as part of a larger campaign that will include a website, as well as the distribution of lawn signs, bumper stickers and other promotional materials.

Directions from Ottawa:
  • take the 417 west to the Toronto/Carleton Place exit
  • Take HWY 7 west towards Carleton Place
  • Look for locater number 9951 east of Carleton Place on the south side of the highway. The sign unveiling is situated just west of the locater sign.
